History

The first training course was held in 2002 with forty participants selected to participate in the three months course under the guidance of Paramahamsa Prajnanananda and other monks and teachers. A similar three-month training course was held in 2004. The course was extended to six months in 2005 to 2006 to provide more in-depth training.

Then in 2007 to 2008, the course was for four months, with elaborate teachings on the Bhagavad Gita by Paramahamsa Prajnanananda. The fifth training course In 2009 to 2010 conducted by Paramahamsa Prajnanananda focused on extensive teachings of Patanjali's Yoga Sutra. Visiting monks and learned teachers from other spiritual traditions also conducted classes, giving the students an opportunity to broaden their perspective.

The RBTC is truly an international event dedicated to religious and cross-cultural appreciation and understanding. More than 250 trainees have successfully completed the training.
