Interfaith Conference - Unity Church of Ft. Lauderdale

May 22, 2014
                                                                      One World Family;
                                                   Uniting the World Through Compassion

What an amazing time to be alive! Because of advancements in transportation, the internet, and other communication technologies, we live in an age where our lives are interwoven with one another; it is a world rich in diversity, whose inhabitants comprise more than 190 different countries, practice more than 20 different major religions, and speak more than 6,500 different languages.

However, it is also a fractured world, filled with suffering, poverty, disease, war, and violence. Despite our technological advancements these age-old problems still plague humankind. No doubt technology has made the world seem smaller, but ironically, it has also left us feeling more divided and isolated than before. It has solved some problems, yet created others. Now more than ever the world needs the human touch. We need to realize our responsibility to this blessed creation and our true relationship with all who abide on the Earth. To heal the world, we must have the attitude that everyone we meet is a member of our human family. Such human qualities as compassion, empathy, understanding, and forgiveness must be cultivated and sustained as the foundation of our interactions with one another and the pillar of our One World Family.

Please join us, on Thursday, May 22nd from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm at the Sanctuary of Unity Ft. Lauderdale, for
