Neeraja ma was born on October 21, 1962 in Chipurupalle, Andhra Pradesh, to Yogacharya Kameshwara baba and Smt Rama Ratnam ma. She did her graduation in Bachelor of Commerce and also completed a Diploma in Computer Applications. She, along with her four sisters, were initiated into Kriya Yoga by Shri Gurudev Paramahamsa Hariharananda Baba. Neeraja ma had a great passion for educating children with spiritual and moral values. She organized Bal Vikas classes for more than twenty-five years at various places where she lived. She was known for her capabilities in organizing Bal Vikas classes and her compassion for children. Though she was given a chance to lead state-wide group of Bal Vikas classes, she opted not to take that post as the gurus had her marked for some other role. The same year, in 2016, she was made a Yogacharya. As a Yogacharya, Neeraja ma traveled to many centers in AP doing programs. She was a regular visitor to Hariharananda Gurukulam for most of the programs. She is fondly remembered by all kriyavans, especially Telugu-speaking ones, for her love for Shri Guruji. She was largely instrumental in bringing to reality the dream of her father Late Yogacharya Kameswara Baba in creating an ashram in Chipurupalli, AP. Her greatest desire was that a monk should live in the Chipurupalli ashram and take forward the Kriya activities in Telugu-speaking places. She was always looking at various ways to serve the Telegu-speaking kriyavans. However, her destiny took another turn. On May 22 2022 at around 8:30 am, Neeraja ma passed away at her home in Vishakhaptnam, after a long battle with cancer. Her last rites were performed at Chipurupalli. She was 59 years of age at the time of her passing. She is survived by her husband Murthy baba, daughter-in-law Padma ma, and her son Dr. Sameer Nandan.
